A conveyor layout checklist helps you avoid common issues around access, transfer points, machine heights, product flow and future changeovers.
Layout checklist
Start with the route: where the product enters, where it leaves, what height it starts at, what height it finishes at and whether it must turn, incline, queue, stop or merge.
Then check the people around the line. Operators need safe access to load, inspect, clean, clear faults and pack. A conveyor that blocks access can create daily production frustration.
Finally check integration: machine speeds, control signals, sensors, transfer points, utilities, guarding and space for maintenance. These details decide whether the conveyor works as part of the line.

Send a sketch or drawing showing route, machine positions, heights, access points and any space restrictions.
Transfer points are common sources of jams, tipping and product damage. They should be designed around the actual pack.
Yes. If new sizes or products are likely, include them so guide range and conveyor width can be planned.
