System architecture
A powered conveyor system can include several technologies, but the product must remain controlled through every transition. Define the function of each module and the operating sequence for the complete route.
Select belt, roller or slat support from the load and environment.
Detail gaps, heights, guides and product handover.
Define sensors, zones, speed reference and machine interlocks.
The initial enquiry does not need a finished engineering drawing, but it should separate confirmed data from assumptions. Record the load range, route, target flow, operating environment and interfaces. Unknown values can then be measured or tested rather than guessed.

System boundary
An industrial conveyor system is more than connected mechanical sections. The project brief should identify product handover, support, guide transitions, accumulation, controls, guarding, isolation, utilities, installation and acceptance responsibility. This prevents a gap between a conveyor that works alone and a combined line that handles real products predictably.
